The scorching hot Dallas Cowboys finally hit a wall last Sunday against the Cardinals, who resuscitated their final stretch of the season in a 25-22 win over Dallas. The Cowboys had won four straight and looked like they might be able to at least play a few home games in the playoffs, but the loss dropped them to fourth in the NFC at 11-5. While it’s a hit, it by no means devastates the Cowboys, who have actually been better on the road this season than they have been at home.

Their Week 18 matchup is the Philadelphia Eagles, who are coming off of clinching a playoff berth behind Jalen Hurts. Hurts has been excellent since a brutal three-interception performance against the Giants, leading the Eagles to three wins in a four-game winning streak (Gardner Minshew picked up the other win when Hurts was hurt). The enthusiasm around the young quarterback has reached a fever pitch, with fans breaking a railing at FedEx Field while clamoring to congratulate him for the Eagles’ most recent win over the Washington Football Team in a playoff-clinching effort.

The Eagles are locked in at either six or seven, while the Saints and 49ers will be playing for the last spot in the conference. As of now, the Eagles are 7th in the NFC, with the same record as the 49ers. Should the 49ers lose and the Saints get in with a win over the Falcons, the Eagles would be No. 6, likely putting them against the Buccaneers instead of the Rams in this scenario. It’s an out of the frying pan situation, but it clearly isn’t a meaningless week by any means for the Eagles.

For the Cowboys, movement will be difficult. Should the Rams win, they’re locked in at No. 4 with a rematch vs. the Cardinals. The Cowboys can move up with a 49ers win over the Rams, a Seahawks win over the Cardinals, and a win against the Eagles. If the same scenario happens with the Panthers beating the Saints, the Cowboys can move up to No. 2. But basically, they’re nearly locked in at No. 4 without some help. These teams first met way back in Week 3, with the Cowboys winning 41-21 in dominant fashion. That wasn’t the Eagles team we’re seeing on the field now, so we’ll see how these teams match up now that the Eagles have evolved into the run-first team they should be under Hurts.

Here’s what you need to know to watch Cowboys vs. Eagles this Saturday, including kickoff time, TV channels, and the full Week 18 NFL schedule.
