US Naval Academy Men And Women Capture 2022 Patriot League Swimming And Diving Titles (2.19.22) – Patriot League Official Athletic Site

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Navy men’s and women’s programs were named 2022 Patriot League Swimming & Diving Champions on Saturday night at the U.S. Naval Academy’s Lejeune Hall.

The Midshipmen men finished with 874 points, followed by Army West Point, who had 740.5 points and Bucknell, who ended with 559.5 points to claim third.

The Navy women totaled 973.5 points throughout the week. Bucknell followed in second place with 577.5 points and Army rounded out the podium with 570 points.

Navy senior Ethan Tack was named Patriot League Male Swimmer of the Meet. He won the 400-yard individual medley (IM) (3:48.60), the 200 IM (1:44.58) and the 200 butterfly (1:43.89). Patriot League Male Rookie of the Meet was awarded to Navy’s Everet Andrew as he finished first in the 200 freestyle (1:36.45) and the 500 free (4:18.31).

Army senior Daniel Alaimo was named Patriot League Diver of the Meet after winning the three-meter dive (353.30) and the one-meter dive (342.80).

Navy senior Sydney Harrington was awarded the Patriot League Female Swimmer of the Meet. She won the women’s 50 freestyle (22.53) the 100 butterfly (52.36), and the 200 butterfly (1:55.27).

Midshipmen senior Hannah Montau was named Patriot League Female Diver of the Meet as she captured gold and set the League record in the women’s one-meter diving competition (309.55).  Montau also finished the weekend with a 364.05 mark in the women’s three-meter competition.

Navy freshman Haley Harris was named Patriot League Female Rookie of the Meet after finishing first in the 400 IM (4:17.98) and third in the 200 IM (2:01.67).

Navy’s John Morrison was named Patriot League Women’s Swim Coach of the Meet. Bucknell’s Dan Schinnerer was awarded Patriot League Men’s Swim Coach of the Year.

Navy’s Rich MacDonald earned Patriot League Women’s Diving Coach of the Year, while Army’s Chris Waters was named the Patriot League Men’s Diving Coach of the Year.
