Tribute gifts extend the positive impact made by extraordinary people in our lives, observed Christine Adams, CPA, Westfield Memorial Hospital Foundation (WMHF) Treasurer, who looks over a list of memorials and honorariums given to the hospital foundation with WMHF Executive Director, Patricia Gaughan DiPalma.

WESTFIELD — Tribute Gifts offer a unique opportunity to recognize someone who has memorably touched your life. Remembering a family member, a dear friend or a colleague (in life or in death) is something that many members in our community customarily do at the Westfield Memorial Hospital Foundation (WMHF).

Many are familiar with the hospital foundation’s mission and how it helps the hospital remain on the cutting edge of patient care. Now in its 44th Anniversary year, the WMHF, via its donors, continues its philanthropy by promoting outstanding healthcare.

Donating a Memorial Gift to honor the memory of a friend or loved one who is no longer with us or recognizing a dear friend or loved one with an Honorarium is an appropriate expression of thoughtfulness and always appreciated.

Following are those remembered:

Memorials:

Joseph Baden, Jr. from Carol and Philip Baideme

Peter Best from Carol Anderson, Carol Baideme, Peter Clark, Heidi and Keith Fowler, Dawn Gillian, Gwen and Howard Haskin, Judy Loomis, Beth Patri and Jon Northrop, Nancy Peters, Tracy and George Riedesel, and

Amy Smith

Abby Cardy from Lisa and Alan Holbrook, Gwen and Howard Haskin

Connie & Tony Cash from Dr. and Mrs. Andrew Cash

Sal Gambino from Linda and Tracy Bennett, Sandy Johnston, Joan and Wally Latimer, TCNO, Cindi and Webster Jones

Nancy Hanks from Rose and James Van Volkenburg

Patric Kilmartin from Sandra Kilmartin

James Kelly from Carol A. and Donald L. Baumet

Judith Nash from Mary Pat Cottrell, Susan Fedewa, Debra and Ken Lee, Joyce and David Moss

Patty Morton from Sandra and Ronald Zenns

Lois Sanderson from Gwen and Howard Haskin

H. Wakely from Charlotte Calarco

In Honor of:

Helen Baran from Karen Surkala, Janet and Peter Nixon

George and Diana Holt from Beth Patri and Jon Northrop

Carolyn Rawlinson from Karen P. and Sidney Hoyt

Robert Storms, MD from Terence Clark

Becky Wood from Marilyn Ferree

Other ways to make a tribute gift to the WMHF include the following:

By celebrating many of life’s wonderful occasions – the birth of a child, birthdays, graduations, weddings, anniversaries, retirements or other important events.

Saying thank you to someone who has made a difference in your life. Gifts may be made in honor of another that you wish to acknowledge or recognize for any reason, such as a friend, relative, neighbor, co-worker, pastor or caregiver.

Honoring an essential healthcare worker during a once-every-100-years pandemic. Your gift will show the dedicated doctors and nurses and support staff that we deeply value the sacrifices they have made to save us. Sacrifices which will allow us to more safely, and with greater confidence, keep open our schools, and businesses and travel to loved ones.

Whether your gift commemorates an event, honors an individual or memorializes a friend or loved one, the individual or family named by the donor receives a special acknowledgment that a gift has been made in their name.

Our community hospital is able to continue to provide high quality healthcare to all the residents throughout our community and beyond. Westfield Memorial Hospital is part of the Allegheny Health Network under the umbrella of Highmark Health.

For those who would like to learn more about the hospital foundation or to give a memorial gift or honorarium to the hospital foundation, contact Patty DiPalma at [email protected]; call: 716-793-2338 or visit the foundation’s website at: www.westfieldhospitalfoundation.org where you will find a memorial/honorarium form on the home page.
